Alien Ant Farm @ the Gypsy Tea Room.
April Sixth was playing when I got
there. I showed up to
screaming through a microphone, which took to me, "These guys are a
hardcore band". After coming into the room and looking at them
for a short bit, I was quite amazed to see this band was rather highly
versitle. This band was the main support for the
headlining/touring act, Alien Ant Farm.
Alien Ant Farm took the
stage. I really can't say too much about these guys,
considering their show was basically flawless. Their new
guitarist doens't move around much, but he has to stand close to a
pedal board quite often. The bassist, on the other hand, doesn't
know how to stand still. One of the very active members of the
band, alongside the singer. They played a mix of new material reving up for the release of their
new album and old familiar songs
like "Movies" and, of course, they ended with "Smooth Criminal".
For a Monday Night, the show and crowd interaction was quite
present. With at least 100 fans in the place to check out the
show, Alien Ant Farm left Dallas, Texas with a big round of applause
and
a high gain of respect in my personal book.
Great band, good guys, very friendly
people!
