Club Axis Show Daimonion, Necrogazm, The Destro, and Big Iron
Friday July 8, 2005
This was my first visit to this new club in Ft. Worth, Texas. The
venue seemed to be very easy to find, although badly located. The
load-in system at this place is very nice. You back your car into a
garage of sorts, unload your equipment and then drive off to allow
others to do the same. Another nice feature this place offers is
the ability to wheel stuff on stage directly from the backstage area
without any lifting or hustle of any kind. The venue has nice
lights, good sound, and a very professional staff. The bands
performing this show are Daimonion, Necrogazm, The Destro, and Big
Iron. Pure heaviness from beginning to end.
Daimonion opened up this show. First I must say that the sound
check provided for this band was amazing. The Front of house mixer was
making sure that everyone had enough of everything in their mix to
continue forth with the performance as flawless as possible, and that’s
how it went. The band took the stage at 9:00Pm. Opening the show with a
bang, Daimonion put on a massive head-banging performance for the
people that showed up early for them. The place was next to empty but
they could care less. An audience of 1, or an audience of 100, it
didn’t matter for these guys. They kept at it with songs such as
“Praise the Void”, “House That Jesus Built”, and “Turkish Wine”.
This was their first time to play here and they enjoyed the show. Just
hope everyone enjoyed their show.
Necrogazm was set to take the stage, following Daimonion. Performing
with songs such as “Power Trip” and “Buried Alive”, they had the crowd,
which started to show up, moving! There were mosh pits left and right
during their set. The sound was great and they all seemed to have put
on a flawless performance. This band will be sparked with a
bright future.
The Destro followed Necrogazm. This band traveled a distance just to
perform for a crowd of people that got into it more and more as the
night progressed. Performing with
bass-drum-matching-guitar-palm-mutes, and following bass lines.
This band did a great job. One of my personal favorite songs of
theirs is “Empty Promises”, the song they closed the show with, which
lead the crowd ready for the headlining act, Big Iron.
Big Iron set up and set off the crowd that stayed late. This
legendary Local band could not wait to keep the performance of the
night going. This was my first time to actually study this
band. I’ve seen them play before, but I must say, this band is
FLAWLESS! Everything this band did was perfect. Guitar Solos,
Drum fills, bass lead-ins, everything. I couldn’t believe how
perfect this performance was. The whole band did
outstanding. I couldn’t break this down into sections, even if I
tried... It was that great!
Overall, my first time to experience Club Axis was great. I
encourage bands to try and book at the venue. You would love it!
