CD Review downward
GENRE: metal/hardcore with some new wave influence

FAVORITE QUOTE:

"Forgive me father,
for I have sinned,
I've convinced myself I can never win!
I've got concrete shoes, realize
I got a hangman's rope for a neck tie!"
- 3. Broken

REVIEW: This CD kicks ass! That's all I really have to say. We may have the next Drowning Pool here.
This metal band from Dallas formed in 2000, and since then has opened for such major acts as Edgewater, Pantera, Damage Plan, and Drowning Pool. I'd tell you who they sound like, but they have their own unique sound, so I can't! The CD features pounding rhythm, with both growling and singing lyrics, pounding, rhythmic drums, and raging guitar riffs that only quicken as they develop. My personal favorites, "Man On The Moon," and "Broken"  are literally out-of-this-world! They're heavy enough to head bang to, but catchy enough for the mainstream. I look forward to a full-length.

1. The Only One:

2. Man On The Moon: An eerie, creepy kind of song, but with fast, good music.
3. Broken: my personal favorite, it's a work of art!
4. Trapped Inside
5. Broken (radio edit)

Downward consists of:
Glen Pinion
Todd Visentine
Mike Gray
Darren Wise
Brant Thompson

For one of the most bad-ass CDs (and live performances) I've ever seen (local or national), I give Downward's demo a ***** (out of 4).
