Empty Hollow
CD Review

I found Empty Hollow's demo of #1
picks to be your typical independent rock metal band demo. I
can't say anything about it really stood out. Still, listening to
it while driving home, it was better than 80 percent of the stuff
on the radio and provided fairly decent driving music. When
you're stuck in traffic, it's better to be stuck in traffic with a good
beat in your head. As with all good rock metal bands the beat was
solid throughout, but the lyrics occasionally got repetitive and, to
me, left something to be desired. I know, I know, it's not about
the lyrics, but to me repetitive lyrics are about as annoying as a 5
minute guitar solo. Tracks 2 and 5, Dreamchaser and Alone In the
Blue, I thought were a league above the rest. I could hear the
Smashing Pumpkins influence in those two which I love.
