Final Tree's Show, Ever  1/1/06

To begin this show, There wasn't much of a way to really describe the energy and emotions behind this final show.  The place was packed for one last time from the stage to the bar.   Unfortunately for the bands performing, Tree's has already removed 90% of their sound equipment so there were only  a main a sub cabinet per side and no monitors.  The bands, however, did not let that be any kind of a factor. All the bands played on backlined equipment provided by the band, Fray.

Panic Value begain this show with a very nicely warmed welcome by Mr. Robert Miguel.  As the band played through their set, you'd hear them constantly saying things in support of Tree's between each song.   Even without monitors, the band gave it their all.

After them was the band, Honchie.  These guys were more crowd-grabbing due to the fact more people have showed up and they do tend to have some catchy songs.  It had to be difficult for them to perform due to the fact they have a keyboardist and a DJ in the band.    They kept the show going, however, Monitors or no,  Closing the night with a personal favorite. "The B***h Stole My Liquor".

Rockett Queen followed shortly after, with a few short words from Robert Miguel and some of the members of Overscene and staff at Tree's.    I thought these guys did alright.  It was hard to pay attention to them, 'cause by this time and for a while, the crowd was much louder than the PA was and it made it VERY difficult to listen in.

Panic Value had the same troubles with wo many people talking reguardless.  You could only hear them if you were a ways away from the stage and elevated.  These guys were not exactly the heaviest band on the show either.  They had more of an Alternative sound.  I'm sorry for the words be9ing so minimal.  Even I was emotionally distracted.

By this time, we started to run a tad bit behind schedule.    Fray came up to play next..  Alright, here we go!  Nice, Heavy and energetic!   Watching these guys kind of took a bit of the emotions out of me and I started to rock out a bit with them.  These guys had a bit of a rough time in a part fo their song, but you'd have had to be paying serious attenti9on to it in order to really notice.

Fallen From The Nest got set to play as Robert Miguel did more with the speeching.  I was not quite sure what to make of these guys, for by theis time, I was kinda bummed once again, realizing that Tree's is clouting down to their final hour.

LaME. was up and they were one of the more diverse bands on the bill.  They debuted some new material.  Stage Left's guitars were overpowering everything so it made it painful for the ears of those within his cabinet's waves.  I had to go closer to the door by the exit to hear them .  I thought they did great for being the second to last band to perform on that stage.  One of my favorite songs by them is still  "Can't Wake Up".

Daimonion was set to close the night off.  After running so far behind schedule, they didnt' get on stage and perform until after 1:30am.  Robert Miguel brought up all the Tr4ee's Staff and some of the guests that he had in the house for one last time.   After about 5 minutes or so of statements,  Bob cuts in with the whole "blah blah blah blah blah" statement.   Of course he was drunk and was wanting to enjoy himself for one last time at Tree's.    The band performed a massively heavy set, with teh band putting 110% into their stage show.  After  their fourth and final song, the whole place erupted.  Everyone  was still there to see the night go out.   After the band  was done, ther ewere alot of emotions as everyone was cheering for joy and eyes filled with tears.

The whole night was incredible.. Sadly, there will be no other ones like this.. It will be a night to go down in anyone's record book.
