Five Points of Venus @ The Liquid Lounge- Sunday, April 11
                                             





Five Points of Venus is an eclectic mix of very talented musicians from different backgrounds that combine acoustic and electric to create slow, moody music. Fronted by a lovely young lady with a soft, gentle voice, that still rings with anger and defiance- a strong feminine voice to stand up against the authority of a male-dominated society with such songs as "Not a Pretty Girl," by Ani Difranco, and their own songs,  "The Man," "I'm Alive," "You are what you fear," and "Have a little,"- their funk song. Some of the songs were slow and calm, while others surged with power. You could really tell electric guitarist Jamie Schultz felt the music- that it was his way of speaking, without words, while the rest of the band rocked back and forth, letting the music take over- flow around, over, and through them.
