Live Review  Glide  Feb. 4th at the 6th Street Grill - 9:00pm - Fort Worth, TX

GLIDE is an alt rock band from  Stephenville, TX. Glide formed in October of 1999 with members Jon Young, Shane Joseph and Steve Elkins.  The band began writing material and playing live for several months to establish a name for themselves.  In 2000 the band added lead guitarist Ryan Lystad.  It was the missing piece that Glide needed to fulfill the sound they have established today.  The band has recorded a live and studio cd and has recently begun the second studio recording due to release summer of 2004.  Glide sound consists of many different influences from Jimi Hendrix to U2.  The band will continue to play and venture into the dynamic world of music for years to come. The show they gave at the Grill was not the best I have seen them give
I think I have  heard GLIDE on a week night at the 6th St. before in in front of a larger crowd come on people where were you ? . You missed out on a good show  ,even though they got off to a late start .GLIDE still put on a good show ! They  sounded  tight and the guys were having  allot of fun ,and so was the small crowd that showed to hear them play. The 6th Street Grill  has been having some good acts on its stage as of late .And GLIDE with it's alt pop sound  brought a nice change to the 6th St. Grill. Next time some of you alt pop fans need to come out and support them (its a long drive.)
