Lykaden EP
LYKADEN noun
1. A euphoric substance evoking human emotion in infinite
ways.
2. Group of 4 individuals provoking original thought and
questioning everything.
GENRE: Nu Metal
This foursome from Navo, Texas (a
small town north of Dallas), has created a unique artistic image for
themselves, looking at the world as if through a surreal artist's eyes
(and music is art, so these guys are technically artists- and surreal
ones, at that!) With a steady beat provided by drummer Isaiah
Contreras, each song features unique guitar riffs, as if the guitar
were telling the story itself. Melancholy, hip hop rock-style
vocals (think Linkin Park or Limp Bizkit) provided by percussionist
Michael Reddee, guitarist Jason Hayes, and bassist Sapo tell the story
of four young artists and their view of the world, their lives, and
more. However, despite the melancholy lyrics, the music is still hard
and fast- I could definitely see people head banging and moshing like
crazy to this music! I look forward to seeing them live.
