THE RANDY ROGERS BAND SELLS
OUT THE BIGGEST HONKY TONK IN THE WORLD!
5,500 PLUS
COMPACTED AUDIENCE AT BILLY BOB’S TEXAS!
Nashville-January 23, 2006-No more than ever has the
Randy Rogers Band name passed the lips of music industry officials and
peers. On Saturday, January 21st, the hottest new band
in country music cemented their flag in Texas ground when they garnered
a solid sell out at Billy Bob’s Texas in Ft. Worth. As anyone can
testify, maxing out capacity at the world’s largest honky tonk is no
easy task and very few have managed such a feat. The Randy Rogers
Band are now proud members of the Billy Bob’s Texas Sell Out Club close
in company with the elite group of power houses including Willie
Nelson, Pat Green, Cross Canadian Ragweed. Robert Gallagher,
Entertainment Coordinator of Billy Bob’s, admitted he felt a bit
incredulous about the volumous turn out. “It was
incredible! Their (RRB) crowd has gotten bigger over the last
year, but initially we didn’t think this show would sell out. By mid
afternoon ticket sales picked up momentum and by show time we were
packed to capacity. Not one person left until the very end.
We can’t wait to have them back!”
It’s become very apparent that RRB’s coat tails are
leaving quite a trail in 2006. While quickly approaching the
release of their major label debut on Mercury Records, the band
recently made their way through Colorado stopping in at the coveted
annual Music Fest in Steamboat Springs. Home to one of the chief
ski resorts in the world, Steamboat has been 21 years the stomping
grounds for the largest ski trip in the nation, and has showcased the
best of the best in Texas-Americana music. RRB gave two lavish
performances imbued with heaps of good ole’ fashioned country music
broadcasted live on XM Satellite Radio. The band followed up the
event with a whirlwind tour through Colorado.
