Skaggs Family Records' newest sensation, Cadillac Sky, is back home in Fort Worth,Texas on Friday, December 8th to perform at MacHenry's. The five piece original is making it's rounds around the country building up momentum for their much anticipated SKR debut cd, Blind Man Walking, which is set for a nationwide release January 23rd of '07, but they will have copies available at shows until then.

The buzz about Cadillac Sky is centered around their unique sound. Recently, Festival Preview and Gritz magazine touted C-Sky as "the next big thing". Grammy winner Ricky Skaggs proclaimed, "When I heard Cadillac Sky for the first time, I heard some of the freshest new bluegrass....They write all of their songs. Their vocals just killed me....they're great!"

Cadillac Sky's live show, like their new cd, contains material penned mostly by Bryan Simpson, the group's lead singer. Simpson is an award-winning songwriter who's had his songs recorded by a wide range of artists including George Strait, Jason Aldean, Terri Clark, Mark Wills, Lonesome River Band, Neal McCoy, Kenny Rogers and many others.

Audiences quickly recognize that the band's signature sound is highlighted by their "whip-crack instrumental precision", according to Bluegrass Unlimited. Along with Bryan on mandolin, comes former national champions Matt Menefee on banjo and Ross Holmes on fiddle. Veteran Mike Jump lends his driving guitar and smooth vocals to the mix while Andy Moritz "assaults" the big upright bass.
