Live Review - Star Lounge Battle of the Bands Promises Big Talent and
Big Prize!
The Star Lounge, located off of hwy 10 in the Mid Cities, is playing
host every Thursday night to some of the best local bands in the Texas
area. The bands are competing each week for a cash prize and a
chance to compete in the monthly finals. Ultimately the monthly
winners will compete against each other for the grand prize. If
your band is interested in playing call the Star Lounge and ask to
speak with Charles Redwine and see if you've got what it takes for the
big bucks. In past weeks one winner was Status Hate, an
incredibly talented speed metal band with an amazing lead guitar
player, drummer, and lead singer. The opening band, Cartoon gave
them a real run for their money and should have come in second.
One of the last winners, White Hot Soul did a mixture of original and
cover tunes which included Back Door Man, Mustang Sally, and Born To Be
Wild.

Their competitors
who came in a close second played an amazingly good set which included
Last Train Running, Who
Will Stop the Rain, and Strangle Hold just to mention a few. The
battle of the bands will be hosted every Thursday night at the Star
Lounge off hwy 10.. Come on out and support your favorite
band. You are going to have a great time hearing some incredibly
talented local musicians, and you just may run into a friend or two.
Last
House On The Left was created in April of 2006. Myself and Max’s
wife Traci worked at the same company and started talking about
music. We
hooked the guys up at our house and a jammin’ they went. Our
house
is the Last House On The Left which is how we came up with the band
name.
We’ve played several private parties, as well a few gigs at other
places. We have another gig booked for The Rockstar Club on
September 7th.
Last House On The Left recently cut a promo cd in order for us to
do
promotions.
