CD Review Stick Shift Demo
Stick Shift is getting read to
release their new 6 song demo I got a chance to get my hands on an advance copy . First off the band did the recording
at their home studio and it sounds great ,good mixing great sound and tone ,over all the
CD has a fair amount of high fidelity ! The CD covers a wide range of styles from track 5
a slow ballad to track 3 which is a dark tune and has over tones of early 90's kind of
sounds like Alice-n-chains. The lead singer has a very hypnotic vocal style and great lyrical
since. The guitar parts are simple but quite grabbing . Great Alt Pop rock for today
I got a chance to talk to chris of and he told me that stickshift started in the summer of 2005. A band that has been around since 1994. We where named suckerfish at that time. straight out of high school. Since that time
our drummer his
name is tommy russell our
guitar player is chris mendoza
and our lead vocals and basses
is nathan
wilson. We just recruited a
lead guitarist his name is joe pruitt. The bands that we learned from
where Stoned Temple Pilots, Nervana,David allen cole and Helmet.
