WHAT: The Dallas Songwriters Association (DSA), presents legendary songwriter and member of Kool and the Gang, Sir Earl Toon will be our guest speaker as he shares his passion and wisdom of songwriting and the many songs he has co-written like “Celebration” and “Ladies Night”.

WHEN: On Tuesday October 9, 2007 from 6:30pm till 9:30pm.  

WHERE: The event will be held at the Center for Community Cooperation, 2900 Live Oak, Oak Corner

WHY: We are a educational organization and our goal is to provide a practical and realistic orientation for songwriters/artists on common standards and expectations of the music industry.

As he shares his view on The art of Songwriting?

WHO: Sir Earl Toon has over 30 years experience in the music industry, from the amazing success with Kool and the Gang and worldwide exposure with such hits as “Celebration” and “Ladies Night” which have been on  soundtracks for sixteen major motion pictures like the following;

1.                    Muppets from Space (1999) (writer: "Celebration")

2.                    The Wedding Singer (1998) (writer: "Ladies Night")
