CD Review
New Vladamir CD
Vladamir has a new CD coming. I'm not sure exactly
when it will be here or what it will be called because
they neglected to inform us of the details, and I
couldn't find anything about it on their web site
www.vladamir.cbj.net, but I did get to listen to the
album, and I have to say overall that it is good. It
reminded me a little of Green Day. I once heard
someone describe Green Day to me as a bunch of
talent less idiots, but hey, that didn't stop me from
listening to their albums over and over again, and
ironically even the person who made this comment owned
a copy of Dookie. Anyway, back to Vladamir. You can
tell these guys haven't been at this for very long,
but that hasn't stopped them from making a great
album. It has the same catchy, upbeatness and the
same almost monotone vocals as a Green Day album, but
it keeps a beat that you can't help but dance to. I
especially liked "The Vibrance", "Side by Side", and
"Believe". Mt least favorite were "To Love and Lost"
and "Blood Stained Blouse". These two were too slow
and long for the rest of the album. You loose the
momentum, and it just doesn't fit the vocalist well. He does better on
the fast ones where you can't tell
that he can't keep a tune. Overall though, I'm a new
fan. I think everyone that owns a copy of Dookie
(which is everyone) should check it out.
