J4 originally out of Ontario, Canada but now based in Los Angeles, CA has released their third CD A Dozen Dead Roses.  The nine song CD is full of catchy riffs, but overall is very repeatitive.  Each song is unique and begins with promise, but by mid song has lost it's luster as the same riffs and lyrics continue throughout the song.  Track 3 "Midnight" is probably the best song on the album.  They did well by choosing it for release as a single.  It ended up on top 40 radio and was used as a musical cue on The Late Show with David Letterman.  The CD can be purchased at Amazon, Tower Records and Best Buy or can be downloaded per tune at iTunes.com.  To find out more about the band go to www.lolrecords.com.
