CD review
John Price ( little pieces of a little pice of something )
Local country rock singer John Price's new release is a good
taste of Texas ,like a slice of the pie. Hot from the oven the 12 tracks
on the CD each make up a diffrent part of the pie. Each track is diffrent
but with John's unique style on each song.
This is not your typical pop country CD more
in the alt country. A cross between U2 and lone justice ,country with a
groove. .The song'Slip Away' is a good example of this new alt country
sound of Johns. Then on the flip side the very next song ' How will I know'
is just what the wolf is looking for and it is in their owne town ? Are
they blind or maybe they just have not heard John yet let's hope it is
the later. As for the CD the mix sounds thin not to warm but I was able
to over look this soon for the quilty of the music far out shines thewhat
it lacks in the mix down. Track 8 'When you go' is great .Simple as that
. Kenny C you should be running scared John has a grip on the new young
country sound .
Track 12' Jocasta' will shake old Hank Jr up it is also
the real deal. John has also written most all his music , with more to
come we hope ! This CD is all over the state a little hip hop ,a little
rock a little roll ,like in the song ' Fall ' if this don't move you ,
you are DEAD!
Over all this CD is as unique as the people in this great
state. And John Price has his finger on the mark . Check out ( little pieces
of a little pice of something)
