Suzy Bogguss
Sweet Danger
Loyal Dutchess

It's been four years since Suzy Bogguss issued the Ray Benson-produced Swing, a disc of standards new tunes written in the jazz pop vernacular of the Nat Cole era. On Sweet Danger, a collection of mostly-new pop tunes co-produced by Bogguss and Jason Miles, she makes the stakes even higher and delivers in spades. From the jazz-inspired (a la Steely Dan) "Bus Ride," and the silken faux-samba groove on "Everything," to her own love ballad "Right Back into the Feeling", Boguss is stretching herself in exciting new ways.
